February Update
Thinking back to where we left off with our last update, it seems like time has flown! After a great holidays in Virginia and North Carolina with family we were back in Denver and really hit the ground running! Being away from Denver for a few weeks gave us a great appreciation to be back [...]
Year-end update
We saw ten different states this year. We drove 1500 miles across country moving from Georgia to Colorado. We drove 1200 miles from Colorado to Tennessee for Thanksgiving. We flew from Colorado to North Carolina for Christmas. We moved three times and lived in three different houses. I think to say that this was the [...]
October Update
Fall has arrived in Denver, and it feels a bit like winter back in the south!! We had a very unseasonably cold week last week and actually got our first snow! The boys were so excited to get outside and start playing in it. I think they’ve fully adapted to life in Colorado! A lot [...]
August Update
Things just don’t seem to slow down. For some reason I always associate summer as a time of relaxation and less responsibility. That must just be an artifact in my memory from long ago, because this summer has been anything but “lazy” around the Redden household!
Growing Tomatoes
There is a small patch of our back yard that the previous owner obviously used as a garden. It is a bare patch of dirt, roughly 6 ft x 20 ft set off to the side of the yard with a nice sprinkler system that you can move around to water the plants. I’ve never [...]

We would definitely not recommend moving twice in four months to anyone, but we are so grateful that we [...]

In what ways am I “privileged,” and how can I leverage that for creative [...]
Q 2009: Day 2
I decided to save myself some time and just blogged my notes today. I may go back to edit and add some observations, but in the interest of time here’s my unedited notes.

Studying the creation engenders [...]
Q 2009: Day 1
I am mentally exhausted. This is my second year attending the Q conference, so it is not unexpected, but there is no way to prepare for the mental onslaught that is Q. What is Q?
“Q is a gathering where church leaders and cultural influencers from the fields of business, politics, media, education, entertainment and the [...]
Not meant to be
Today we put an offer on a great house over in the Congress Park area of Denver. Unfortunately we weren’t the only ones who submitted an offer today. We worked with our agent to put together an offer this morning and found out later that there would be another offer coming in later in the [...]
